Privacy Policy and Intellectual Property Notice

By accessing or using the Site, you consent to this Privacy Policy ("Policy"). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SITE. Please also review our [Terms of Use].

We operate in the United States. If you are outside the U.S., your information (including cookies) will be processed and stored in the U.S., which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

1. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy at any time. We will post changes on the Site and update the Effective Date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

2. Information We Collect

(a) Browsing without PII. You may browse the Site without submitting personally identifiable information (PII).

(b) Account & Login. If you create an account, we collect your name, email, username, password, and—if you choose social sign-in—limited profile details from that service.

(c) User Content. If you submit comments, photos, videos, or other content ("User Content") in public areas, it may be visible to others and retained.

(d) Email Subscriptions. If you opt-in to email subscriptions, we collect your email address and preferences.

3. How We Use Information

4. When We Share Information

Vendors & Affiliates. We share information with service providers and affiliated entities who help operate and improve the Site, under confidentiality and use restrictions consistent with this Policy.

With Your Consent. For example, with named partners you choose to engage.

User Content. Anything you post in public areas can be seen, shared, or retained by others.

Legal. To comply with law, court orders, or lawful requests; to protect rights, safety, or property.

Business Transfers. In connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.

5. Retention

We retain information as long as needed for the purposes above and as required or permitted by law. We may delete information at our discretion.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. "Do Not Track"

We currently do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

8. Your Choices

To access, correct, or delete your personal information, contact us (Section 13). We will take reasonable steps to honor requests, subject to legal and operational limits.

9. Copyright & Intellectual Property

(a) Ownership. All content on the Site—including text, photographs, graphics, audio/video, design elements, trademarks, and logos (collectively, "Content")—is owned by Roubini Macro LLC or its licensors and protected by U.S. and international laws, including the U.S. Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq.) and trademark laws.

(b) Permitted Personal Use. You may view and print Content for personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not remove proprietary notices or alter the Content.

(c) No Reposting/Redistribution Without Permission. You may not copy, republish, mirror, upload, transmit, distribute, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit Content without our prior written consent. If you quote or reference Site material, you must credit Roubini Macro LLC and (where feasible) link to the original page.

(d) Images & Photographs. All images are copyrighted works owned by Roubini Macro LLC unless stated otherwise.

  • Press Kit. Certain press-kit images may be downloaded and used solely for non-commercial editorial/news coverage, unaltered (except for minimal resizing/cropping), with clear credit: "© Roubini Macro LLC."
  • Commercial Use. Any commercial, advertising, promotional, or resale use requires our prior written permission.

(e) Reservation of Rights. No license is granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Automated Access, Scraping & AI/LLM Use (Prohibited)

(a) No Automated Collection. Without our express written permission, you may not access, extract, index, scrape, harvest, or monitor the Site or Content via bots, crawlers, spiders, scrapers, offline readers, or similar tools; you may not bypass or circumvent rate limits, access controls, CAPTCHAs, robots.txt directives, or other technical measures.

(b) No Text-and-Data Mining or Model Training. You may not use any Content (including metadata, captions, alt text, transcripts, or datasets derived from the Site) for training, fine-tuning, benchmarking, or improving any machine learning, generative AI, large language model (LLM), computer vision system, or similar technology without our prior written consent.

(c) Legal Notice & Remedies. Unauthorized scraping, circumvention, or copying may violate, among other laws, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030), the Digital Millennium Copyright Act anti-circumvention provisions (17 U.S.C. § 1201 et seq.), and the U.S. Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq.), and may constitute unfair competition or trespass to chattels under state law. We reserve the right to pursue all remedies available at law or in equity—including injunctive relief, damages, and attorney fees.

(d) Limited Search Engine Exception. We may, at our discretion, allow generally available search engines to index the Site solely to link to our pages, provided they (i) obey robots.txt and standard web protocols, (ii) do not store, display, or republish our Content beyond customary snippet/link previews, and (iii) do not use our Content for AI/model training. We may revoke this exception at any time.

11. Third-Party Contributors; Work-Made-For-Hire & Assignment

We engaged/commissioned Design Agency: Half Human Half Machine, also known as HH:Hm/c - Business name - Hoysla New York LLC. (collectively, "Vendors")—including, without limitation, their employees, officers, and agents and any third party they hired—to support the design, development, content creation, photography, engineering, and operation of the Site and related media.

(a) Work Product. "Work Product" means all deliverables, works of authorship, inventions, discoveries, know-how, data, documentation, drafts, designs, code, configurations, recordings, photographs, video, audio, transcripts, captions, and other materials conceived, prepared, or delivered by Vendors or Personnel for or on behalf of Roubini Macro LLC (the "Company") in connection with the Site, our brand, or our services.

(b) Work-Made-For-Hire; Assignment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, all Work Product is specially ordered or commissioned and constitutes a "work made for hire" under 17 U.S.C. § 101, with the Company deemed the sole author and exclusive owner. To the extent any Work Product (or any element of it) does not qualify as a work made for hire, Vendor and all Personnel hereby irrevocably assign, transfer, and convey to Company, exclusively and perpetually, all right, title, and interest in and to such Work Product.

(c) Moral Rights Waiver; Further Assurances. Vendor and all Personnel waive to the fullest extent permitted any and all moral rights (including rights of attribution or integrity) and agree to execute documents reasonably requested to perfect, record, or enforce Company's rights (Company may act as attorney-in-fact if necessary).

(d) Background IP. If a Vendor needs to include pre-existing or third-party materials ("Background IP") in the Work Product, Vendor must identify such Background IP in writing before delivery. Vendor grants Company a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, perform, display, and distribute such Background IP as incorporated in or necessary to exploit the Work Product.

(e) No Retained Rights; No Portfolio Use. Except as expressly permitted by Company in a prior written consent, Vendor and Personnel retain no ownership or license in the Work Product and may not reuse, publish, or display the Work Product (including in portfolios, case studies, pitches, or social media).

(f) Delivery of Source Materials. Upon creation and on request, Vendor will deliver all native/source files and assets (e.g., files, RAW/PSD/AI/INDD, high-res images, video project files, code repositories/build scripts, CMS exports, credentials, and configuration records) and will provide reasonable transition assistance.

(g) No Data/Content Reuse; No AI/LLM Training. Vendor and Personnel may not use Company data, the Site, the Content, or any Work Product for analytics/model training, text-and-data mining, benchmarking, or to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI/ML/LLM/CV systems without Company's prior written permission. Violations may implicate the CFAA (18 U.S.C. § 1030) and DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 1201 et seq.).

(h) Warranties; Indemnity. Vendor represents and warrants that: (i) it has and will secure all necessary assignments and waivers from Personnel/subcontractors; (ii) Work Product is original or properly licensed and does not infringe or misappropriate any rights; and (iii) it will comply with open-source and third-party license terms and provide required notices. Vendor will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Company from claims arising out of a breach of this Section.

12. Accessibility (ADA)

We are committed to providing a Site accessible to the widest possible audience, consistent with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state laws. We strive to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. Accessibility efforts are ongoing. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or need an alternative format, please contact us (Section 13) and include the page/feature at issue, the nature of the problem, and your contact information. We will make reasonable efforts to address your needs.
